SIT – Technical Inspections

SIT is the operational area of O&BIS which is responsible for carrying out the controls required by the regulations at the loading bases and points of sale:

• ADR – Regulations on road for transportation of dangerous goods.
• RID – Regulations on rail for transportation of dangerous goods – Legislative Decree 286/05 – Regulations of the road transport area.
• VE – Technical visit of rail tankers used for the transportation of dangerous goods and the correct ministerial Check Lists filling in order to support the Loader / Unloader.

Tax Reconciliations: Under request of the CUSTOMER, it is possible to integrate the control activity with specific anti-fraud checks at the bases and points of sale during transport and unloading operations.

SIT works through operational teams that have two inspectors for each team, who will do the job on the plant on the days and times
agreed with the CUSTOMER by carrying out their activities through the verification and a specific check-list filled.
The CHECK-IN AND CHECK-OUT OPERATIONS, INCLUDING VEHICLE LOAD, have a duration of about 40/45 minutes and are carried out in the places and times indicated by the CUSTOMER.
The checks carried out on a random basis or on all the vehicles arriving at the load (the choice depends on the number of vehicles per day and on the indications of the CUSTOMER), from the experiences that we have to date, they produce:

1. a high level of protection with respect to the responsibilities deriving from specific area regulations (ADR, RID, LEGISLATIVE DECREE 286, EXCISE);
2. a strong deterrent for the carriers that arrive at the load with unsuitable vehicles and/or unsuitable staff; the evidence of the actions taken to ensure the maintenance of high safety standards, for the competent organizations and in court.
